Nothing against the ageless one, but it is time for him to step down from public broadcasting.
I checked in on the former Bandstand guru a few minutes after midnight. Frankly, it was painful to watch. While the recovery from his stroke has been remarkable, watching him try to enunciate unsuccessfully made me want to change the channel immediately. I can’t imagine that anyone else watching was equally disturbed.
We’ve loved Dick’s Rockin’ New Years Eve for years, but there isn’t a need for him to be on the air himself any more.
According to the AP, Fox will create another reality show that invovles kicking someone off. But this time, it will be based around the economic climate.
The Fox network is making a reality show titled, “Someone’s Gotta Go,” out of the troubled economy, and lets co-workers decide who gets the axe. Each week, a different company lays off an employee.
Ok, so this is nitpicky, but since it popped into my head, I figured I’d share it.
What are a bunch of professional nerds doing with composite video running to their LCD? Where’s the component and HDMI connection that any self respecting hi-fi nerd would have? I smell a Monster Cable sponsorship opp.
Oh, jeeez. Do we really need this much technology in our news? Sure its cool, but c’mon. NBC doing the green screen columns with Ann Curry walking around 3-D graphs is just ridiculous, but this hologram crap may be a little too much.
I’d be embarrassed to be Kelly tonight. Performing a duet with Reba McEntire didn’t help Kelly grab any of the spotlight, which is probably a good thing, because she looks like shit. Not only does Carrie look better than Kelly, but even Reba looks better.
Simply unreal. No matter what else happens for the rest of the game, this was the most fun any Red Sox fan could possibly have without a World Series Ring. Boston strings together their own home run derby, hitting four home runs in a row.
Ed Note: Sorry folks, but we were asked to remove the clips and are going to comply 100%. Our apologies to MLB and ESPN.
The Smoking Gun published some of the complaints to the FCC regarding Prince’s halftime performance at the SuperBowl. Frankly, I’m just bored with this. I just don’t think that 150 complaints is even worth blinking about when you consider that more than 90 million people tuned in.
I can see how some gestures could be misinterpreted and twisted into some kind of right-wing artillery, but give me a break. How many people complained two years during Gretchen Wilson’s performance.
Wow. It is no wonder than Sirius and XM are in need of a merger. Despite splitting their potential customer-base through exclusive deals, the money spend on raising brand and programming awareness has been a near waste. Integrated sponsorships like this just crack me up. I’m going to run out the door and get a satellite radio right NOW!.
Across a number of blogs, I’ve been testing different methods for posting video. After many attempts and many different plug ins, CMSs, and beta products, ad serving products, and custom products, I’ve finally found the easiest way to incorporate video into your blog. Brightcove offers a free solution where you can upload any type of video content and they provide you with an easy to embed player with tons of functionality. More than $60 million in development costs certainly is worth something, but adding video like this is as easy as adding an attachment to an email, and copying code.
